Generation Justice

Generation Justice is mending our country’s child protection system one state at a time by reshaping the policies governing the foster care system. “GenJustice” was the first organization in ACF’s Venture Portfolio. We saw it as a terrific blend of head and heart; the perfect marriage of public policy and human service…. and it also had a strong and proven leader in founder Darcy Olsen. The Foundation jumped in with a 3-year challenge grant in 2018 to support Generation Justice’s pro bono Children’s Law Clinic. To date, Generation Justice has already been successful in changing laws and streamlining the foster care system in two states. That means foster children in those states are finding loving families and stable homes a lot quicker these days.
